Description: Talrovian is a construct who is hard not to notice, as he outwardly appears to be a kind of giant rag-doll. He stands about seven feet tall and is inhumanly thin, even more so than fay are, with lanky proportions that would be skeletal on a creature of flesh and blood. Though in truth he is a fine clockwork specimen, he covers himself with a suit and mask made entirely of fabric. His face and shirt are made from one-color pieces, while his pants are made from patterned scraps with boldly clashing designs from plaid to paisley to polkadot. Has several of these patchwork suits and no two are alike given the haphazard shapes and random colors of the fabric pieces used to make them, but there is one thing he has kept the same between them all: the only patch of red fabric he uses is in a large heart stitched on the left side of his chest.

He also wears thick, unruly brown wigs which are sewn directly to his headpieces. The messy shag of these fall to his narrow shoulders and hide almost everything of his face except for his mouth, which is usually smiling (a little trick of magic, that, giving the cloth mouth of his masks more expression than they would ordinarily have). Talrovian also wears knee-high brown boots, brown gardening gloves, and a patchwork black and white scarf (for contrast!). His original self can be glimpsed at times through these coverings, usually in the grinning flash of his mother-of-pearl teeth (one of which is missing), but also in the engraved copper of his eyes.

Personality: Talrovian is nearly everything his father-creator did not mean for him to be. Given the gift of independent thought -- too much of it, in fact -- the construct has adopted a personal rebellion against everything properly fay, silfay specifically. He is a vibrant personality, embracing spontaneity and impulsive decisions. In truth he is often a foolish person, for he has rejected the idea of careful thought so thoroughly that he is almost completely incapable of it at all. He may imagine the immediate consequence of any action, but rarely will he think something through further than that.

He addresses life as a game, something that should be enjoyed and never taken seriously. His emotions run a shallow range as a result, coloring everything with amusement for him. He does not get angry, he gets laughingly exasperated, and he does not get sad, but gets briefly disappointed or confused before finding something new to smile about.

Despite all this, he is not inherently fickle or untrustworthy. When people receive his loyalty and/or affection, he will not withdraw it unexpectedly. He might do so in response to antagonism or the development of a serious conflict of interests, but never because he had merely changed his mind at a whim. However quickly he may come by his decisions, he sticks to them and sees them through as far as he reasonably can. He is still never gravely serious about any choice he makes, but even a cheerful fool can remain committed to a chosen path.

Though he may be Talrovian by "birth" and legal registration, the construct happily responds to at least a dozen names more beyond that. If he ever has his way in court, he wants to be re-registered as "Thomas K Nocker" (for several reasons, mostly superficial), and also possesses an ever-growing list of nicknames bestowed on him by others: Patchwork, Patches, Scarecrow, Rags, Raggedy Andy, Scraps, Stitches... if a pseudonym is fitting, he'll respond to it, finding amusement in such things even if the appellation was initially given derisively!
